1. To calculate HOMA2-β and HOMA2-IF values, you need plasma glucose values (importantly, not of serum glucose) and of insulinemia or C peptide;
  2. These two parameters are calculated with the HOMA2 Calculator;,
  3. After after you have installed the software, start it and the interface will look like in the image below;
  4. Enter the values of plasma glucose and insulinemia ​​and carefully select the measurement units for them;
  5. Press then the Calculate button from the bottom left and the calculated values ​​for HOMA2-β and HOMA2-IF will be displayed in the boxes circled in red;
  6. Copy and paste these two values ​​in the corresponding inputs of the application for diagnosis of diabetes subtypes;
